What I hate to see on the board: Thrusters.
Favourite lift: Cleans.
Biggest change in myself physically: Being able to perform movements I had no idea my body was capable of.
Most memorable CrossFit moment: Watching people row non-stop for over 3 hours… Either that or completing Murph for the first time.
Before CrossFit: Karate since the age of 7, then strength and conditioning (chest and arms) throughout uni.
Life outside CrossFit: Finally in my final year of med school and will be graduating in about 2 months! Also working part time at Ramen Takara down in Browns Bay serving Japanese noodles and other delicious things that are full of carbs.
Favourite meal: Does coffee count?
Favourite movie: Your Name (Kimi no Na wa).
Favourite band or artist: Nujabes.
How do you answer a friend when they ask, “What is CrossFit?”: I hate to directly quote the official definition of “constantly varied functional movements performed at a high intensity” but it really does sum it up quite nicely. Or I tell them to search up Mat Fraser on YouTube.
