  • 100m Pub Crawl

WOD “Irish’s Musical Chairs”
As Many Reps as Possible in 3 Rounds of:

  • Burpee Box-jumps 24″/20″
  • Wall Ball shots 9/6kg
  • Ring Rows
  • Row, for Calories

Perform as many reps as possible while the music plays. When the song changes, rotate stations. Four stations per rounds, with 1 minute rest between rounds. Total reps for score. Post score to comments!

Fructose is a toxin

 
The most valuable nutrition lecture I’ve heard and the best 90min investment of my week.

EVERYONE and I mean everyone needs to watch this video. If you are a parent – don’t be “too busy” to watch this video. And it is particularly important if someone you know is suffering from type 2 diabetes or other chronic disease.

Dr. Lustig argues that sugars, and specifically fructose, are a direct cause of the current obesity epidemic and more similar to alcohol (poison) than to food. His discussion of the effects of fructose on children is heartbreaking and makes his arguments particularly poignant.

About half way through he goes into a biochemistry component, that section is short and you don’t need to understand the micro details to get the take home message.

I didn't get to see Rachel's amazing toe-to-bar technique as I was busy trying to hold myself together across the other side of the gym during Open WOD 12.3 last Saturday, but I heard it was awesome to watch! Rach will be running a 90min shoulder health workshop for CFAK members this Sunday from 2pm. It'll be well worth your time to come along.
