Nothing Stopping You

Something is stopping you from CrossFitting. Perhaps you believe you’re not fit enough to begin. Perhaps you believe it’s too hard.

Fair enough; casual observation would lead to the erroneous conclusion that everyone in the gym began life as a superhero, chiseled out of beef and granite.

They didn’t. They were just like you, carrying ten pounds of fat where there should be ten pounds of muscle. They were unsure of high intensity exercise, intimidated by movements demanding coordination and strength, scared of looking stupid.

Unfortunately, you don’t get to see the history, the place where every one of those people started. You should. You should get a time machine, you should see where they began.

My first day of CrossFit, we jumped rope. More accurately, other people jumped rope. I stumbled around the room, arms and legs in a tragic, asynchronous excuse for athletic movement.

I expected laughter. Instead, I got help. A girl stopped, mid-workout, unconcerned with the time on the clock, and showed me what to do. Patiently. Like she gave a sh*t about me, about making me a part of the group, about quelling my anxiety. She helped me, and I left with a new skill, a little less awkward.

I know your experience will be the same. Someone will help you, unbidden. You will be aided, taught, encouraged, and loved by the people in your gym. You’ll be hugged and motivated and coached. You won’t even have to ask.

Then, you’ll look around one day at what you’ve become, and you’ll realize that no one started that way, but everyone ends up that way. You’ll realize that no one is a superhero. You’re surrounded by normal people doing extraordinary things, and you’re one of them.

You’ll know that you got there because you took the first step. You started. You ignored your fears, just like the people in the gym will ignore your shortcomings. You started, because you realized that nothing is stopping you from CrossFitting.

Why Group Coaching?

Group coaching allows our members to work with a professional coach daily for a fraction of the investment of Personal Training.

Everyone walking in our doors has a range of personal goals and ability levels, and our group coaching timetable has the variety to meet those needs. Our training timetable allows you to choose from different programs to achieve your goals.

Our programming is full of variance, but it’s not random; it’s designed specifically to improve our members’ health and performance. You get started by signing up for a CrossFit Basic Training program, then come in to chat with a coach to discuss how to advance from where you are now, to where you want to be.

CrossFit Auckland QuickFit is time efficient high intensity training that delivers outstanding results. Our QuickFit Unlimited Membership is designed specifically for busy professionals, parents and students on a tight schedule. After graduating the CrossFit Basic Training program, express classes are a convenient 30-minutes with early morning, lunchtime and evening timeslots Monday to Friday.

At $6 – $7 per session CrossFit Auckland QuickFit makes premium fitness training accessible on a budget.

A 15% Discount on CrossFit Membership applies to Full Time Students and Senior Card holders, Sworn-in Military, Law Enforcement, EMS and Fire Service.

Presentation of current ID and proof of eligibility is required at the time of joining. Students must provide evidence of full time study status.

Membership prices are inclusive of advertised components and are not available in conjunction with any other offer or special pricing discount. We have a use it or lose it policy, any unused portion is non refundable or exchangeable for cash, and is void if on-sold.

CrossFit Basic Training

Get started in our CrossFit Basic Training program to learn the ropes, and when you graduate to the regularly timetabled classes our coaches will teach you how to tailor workouts to your current fitness and skill capability. CrossFit Auckland coaches will help you move more efficiently to realise your athletic potential and achieve your fitness goals as quickly as possible.

The CrossFit Basic Training package:

  • 2-weeks, three 1-hour sessions a week (6 sessions).
  • Small group training.
  • You will advance your knowledge and technique to a level that will allow a smooth transition into group training classes. 

To ensure you are provided with every opportunity to succeed, we require everyone get started via the CrossFit Basic Training program. You’ll then become a member of our club choosing a CrossFit Unlimited or QuickFit express membership.

Then what next?

At the completion of the CrossFit Basic Training program you are ready to join the timetabled classes! All six sessions must be attended or made up via one-on-one coaching at the additional cost of $80/session.

If you’ve made the decision to become a member, we’ll pre-schedule your membership to commence when your basic training concludes.

While we don’t have beginner through advanced WODs (workout of the day), CrossFit workouts are adaptable to each individual and we find that our members learn from the environment and enjoy the healthy dynamic that mixed level classes promote. Read FAQs.

What if I’m an Experienced CrossFitter?

If you have a good athletic or CrossFit background and feel you may be eligible to advance past CrossFit Basic Training, we provide the opportunity for a skills assessment. This is approximately 1 hour and mostly looks at your ability with a barbell and Olympic weightlifting. The outcome of this assessment will determine whether you need to sign up for CrossFit Basic Training or progress straight to the group workouts. The cost of this private session is $80.
