INDUCTION to CrossFit
NEW MEMBERS GET STARTED HERE!
At CrossFit Auckland we make getting started simple and non-intimidating. It doesn’t matter what your current fitness level is – CrossFit exercises are scaleable and progressive.
Get started in our CrossFit Induction program to learn the ropes, and when you graduate to the regularly timetabled classes our coaches will help you tailor the workouts to your current fitness and skill capability.
CrossFit Auckland coaches focus our attention on being extraordinarily effective at coaching our clients to move efficiently to realize their athletic potential and achieve their fitness goals as quickly as possible. To ensure that all of our clients are provided with every opportunity to succeed, we require everyone to get started in our member induction program. Trainees then become a member of our club based on the frequency you want to train – choosing an unlimited or restricted club membership, or a QuickFit 30-minute express workout membership.
Here’s how you get started:
Option 1 – Join the CrossFit Induction program
Our CrossFit Induction program is small group training – three 1-hour classes per week for 2-weeks. Great value at $135 for 6 sessions. View the days and dates in the drop down menu below.
We’ll teach you fundamental exercises and movements that will set you up with CrossFit foundations. The aim is to progress your knowledge and technique to a level that will allow a smooth transition into the timetabled classes. All six sessions must be attended or made up via private coaching sessions at the additional cost of $80 p/session.
If you’ve made the decision to become a member at the time of registering for our induction program, we’ll pre-schedule your membership to commence when your induction concludes.

At the completion of the CrossFit Induction program you are welcome to attend any of the timetabled classes that suit your schedule.
We do not have beginner through advanced WODs (workout of the day). CrossFit workouts are adaptable to each individual and we find that members learn from the environment and enjoy the healthy dynamic that mixed level classes promote. Read our FAQs.
Option 2 – I’m an Experienced CrossFitter
If you have a good athletic or CrossFit background and feel you may be eligible to advance past our induction program, we provide the opportunity for a skills assessment. This is approximately 1 hour and mostly looks at your ability with a barbell and Olympic weightlifting. The outcome of this assessment will determine whether you need to attend the induction program or progress straight to the group workouts. The cost of this private session is $80.
