I AM CROSSFIT

WHEN: We do not currently have an I AM CROSSFIT scheduled for 2013
A ‘goal oriented’ development program for CrossFit Auckland members as an addition to your existing training regime, not as a stand alone package. You must have a minimum of 12 weeks of CrossFit experience under your belt to ensure a sound base of technique to progress from.
This I AM CROSSFIT edition is solely focussed on skill development in Olympic Weightlifting. The skill clinics will bridge the gap between novice/intermediate weightlifting skills already cemented during WOD classes and the competency required to progress to Barbell Club. While Barbell Club may not be the ultimate goal for everyone, this program will improve your weightlifting execution and efficiency as a CrossFitter in general.
Unique features of this program:
- Saturday sessions are 90min, 9am to 10:30am.
- The program is 7 sessions with 2 break weekends interspersed: no training on Saturday 29th September or Saturday 20th October due to competition weekends.
- Baseline strength testing will be held on the first Saturday 1st September.
- The program will conclude with an in-house Olympic Weightlifting meet to celebrate the close of the training program and ultimately test your final 1RMs and total in the Snatch and Clean & Jerk.
- Attendance to 3+ indoor workouts mid week for the 8 weeks is also expected.
I AM CROSSFIT begins and concludes with bench mark strength testing. Over the course of seven 90 minute training sessions, we focus on polishing your technique and further progressing your Olympic Weightlifting skills in a hands on workshop environment.
The program is limited to 18 members with 2 coaches ensuring that everyone gets ample hands-on time with a Coach.
What about Nutrition?
Many participants of I AM CROSSFIT have used the eight week program as a time to re-focus on their nutritional needs, reaching new milestones in both their athletic performance and fat loss goals. The ultimate goal is to achieve a lifestyle that works for you ongoing.
