Great to see better attendance this week! No excuses Team, get some!
What a week!
Although we coaches know how potent CrossFit is, it still amazes us to see the progress made by our athletes, and so quickly. And this week didn’t dissappoint!
More of our women are now doing pull-ups un-assisted. The loads lifted, carried, dragged and thrown are getting heavier. More ordinary people are finding they are capable of extraordinary feats. Personal records have been getting smashed daily all this week!
All of you are an inspiration to us! Keep it up
A big well done to the CrossFit Auckland Women who nailed their first “Fran” this week. Welcome to our world
Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes are with Coach Emma, as she fights for Gold tomorrow, at the Ringside Boxing World Championships. Bring it home Em!!!
Sometimes Rest Day really is a rest day. Sometimes its the day we get to do what we really want to do. Sometimes we don’t want to rest, but really we need it.
Does that mean being inactive? Does it mean a cheat meal pizza, lazing on the sofa with a loved one?
Is a rest day a good opportunity to catch up on reading/housework/laundry/shopping/visiting family/visiting friends/cuddling pets/cuddling your children/cuddling your parents?
Maybe a rest day isn’t really a rest day at all. Or maybe it’s about time you made it one.
Rest Day is earned.
5 rounds for time:
No of course we’re not serious.
But now that we have your attention, please note: As of this week we will trial posting the WOD online the day after it appears on the whiteboard at CrossFit Auckland. This will make absolutely NO difference to those of you out there doing our WOD who don’t train here at CFAK. Zero. You won’t even notice it.
But for the CFAK faithful, it will be a welcome surprise when you walk in the door
Gone will be the temptation to avoid those exercises you fear. You will be able to confront and iron out the “chinks in your armour”. In true-to-CrossFit style, boldly face and embrace the unknown and the unknowable.
Enjoy your rest day Team. You’ve earned it!
