CrossFit Auckland chicks rock – no doubt about it!

WOD
“Tabata Something Else”

  • Pull-ups
  • Push-ups
  • Sit-ups
  • Air Squats

Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.

Post Loads and total Tabata reps from all 32 intervals to comments.

How much tougher is the WOD when you've got someone counting and judging your reps for you? Are you strict with yourself when no one's looking? Or do you count that last pull-up when your chin barely reached the bar? Remember, it's not about who got finished first with shoddy form or gaming techniques. The CrossFit Games is only a sporting expression of what we do, but the WOD is training. Training to not suck at life. Training to be your best you. So your life is what you're playing for – why cheat yourself out of doing the work? Both in sport and at training you need to put in the work. All of it. There are no short cuts to elite fitness, and when it comes to sport "what is done in the dark will be seen in the light". This Sunday, CrossFit Auckland is proud to host FIGHT GONE BAD 6. All competitors will be judged fairly, and will leave happy knowing they gave their all and did the work right. Let's remember to always attack the WOD the same way!

  • 5 Skin-the-cats
  • 10 Pistols

Fight Gone Bad 6 is on this Sunday! A big virtual high-five and chest pump to all of you who’ve jumped in to the fray!

It’ll be a fun day for all, the weather gods are promising fine weather (fingers crossed!), and we’re looking forward to having not only our CFAK family present, but many visiting CrossFitters too.

In all this excitement let’s not forget the reason for the event: We are Uniting as Athletes for a Cause. Our FGB6 event is to help raise much needed funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. The PCF work tirelessly to help the many New Zealand men who are recovering from, or living with prostate cancer. They need our help.

We’ve got one week to reach out to others around us, rattle some pockets for loose change, and show a lil kiwi spirit. Tell your friends and family what you’re prepared to do this Sunday for a couple of bucks. Once you tell them what the Fight Gone Bad workout is, that will be enough to get some coin for the cause!
