CrossFit Auckland Barbell Club starts next week! The Barbell Club is intended for members wishing to significantly improve functional strength and power — and the Olympic lifts specifically — without compromising general fitness. Individuals will have an affinity for strength and Olympic weightlifting, or want to spend a period of time focusing on strength development or Olympic weightlifting skill improvement.
NOTE: Ideally members will have at least 3 months of CrossFit experience and basic skill in the Olympic lifts. Participants must have the ability to participate fully in the programing. This will require you to achieve a full range of movement under load for the squat, and overhead lifts including OHS, Jerk, Snatch – amongst other barbell exercises. Having completed I AM CROSSFIT will give you a great base of technical knowledge – but its not an essential pre-requisite.
